Well here we are in November….where did October go? Halloween was so much fun this year, we have so many new neighbors with young children, many who are first graders that Brady knows. I love our neighborhood now and have had the pleasure of getting to know many of them. My parents came down to celebrate with us and loved handing out candy and seeing all the kids dressed up in their costumes, something they don’t get in their neighborhood anymore. The weather was incredible so it made for a very pleasant evening. Scott and I got to have a date night while they were here. We had dinner at a very nice restaurant, McCormick and Schmicks, and then went to the movies and saw “SAW IV” which was awesome! We don’t get too many date nights so it was a wonderful getaway from the daily grind.
November is starting off good so far and I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving in 2 weeks…..yikes! 2 weeks!!!! Brady brought home his first report card for this year and I was just floored at how well he has done and is doing. His teacher is proud of him and so are we!!! He loves school and has alot of great friends and I feel so fortunate for that. I am so glad that he is enjoying it and is excited about going every morning. He is all about skateboarding and riding his bike lately, his herois Tony Hawk and he loves watching skateboard movies, its so cute to watch him try and do tricks. He is very determined and I love that he is that interested in something. He’s actually very good when it comes to the skateboard and the bike…. maybe he will be the next big X-games star in 10 years.
Kacey continues to grow and change by leaps and bounds, she is such a social butterfly and makes quick friends with any little girl she meets. She loves dancing and tumbling so I think we may be looking into putting her into a gymnastics class or dance. She is also one heck of a little soccer player so who knows, she may be in soccer next season! I love her bubbly personality and our conversations that we share during the day when it’s just us. For a 3 year old she’s pretty darn good at coloring too, which brings back so many memories of when I would sit in my room for hours coloring and drawing.
My business seems to be picking up which I am excited about. I have some sessions coming up at the end of this month and people are starting to inquire about portraits so I really hope the trend continues. Tomorrow I am doing a session with my friend Kristen and her family. Since we are both photographers we decided to do a swap and take turns photographing each others families since we are always behind the lens and never in front! We will be having ours done next weekend and can’t wait since we have never had them done, can you believe the irony in that? My job is to take family portraits for others but I have never took the initiative to have ours done, so this is way overdue.
Well that’s about it for now! One of my resolutions for 2008 is going to be to blog more, I am so bad about not making time.
