Mother’s Day

I had the best weekend celebrating Mother’s Day with my wonderful hubby and my two precious kiddos. My husband knows his slow-smoked barbeque is my favorite meal so Saturday night he fired up the smoker and started cooking a brisket and then this morning he put on some huge beef ribs that were to die for! We had some yummy potato salad and fresh sweet watermelon also. All weekend we just hung out in the backyard with the kids and played around and watched the kids splash in the pool and the slip n slide. Scott bought one of those big family size inflatable pools so we jumped in with the kids on Saturday. We have both (mostly him)been so busy lately so it was so nice to just get to relax for 2 days with no stress. I couldn’t think of a better way to spend my Mother’s Day! Saturday night Brady came running out the back door with Mother’s Day cards behind his back, it was so cute! He just couldn’t wait to give them to me! I had the camera around my neck most of the time so I got lots of great pictures.Last week Scott surprised me with an awesome tripod for my camera and a softbox portrait lighting kit, so I have been having so much fun with those! I had been wanting a softbox for a while now so it was a very wonderful surprise!!! Scott- you outdid yourself on the barbeque and thank you so much for my wonderful weekend and my photography goodies!!!

Here are some shots I got of the kids using my new softbox light…
