Yesterday we celebrated Kacey’s 5th Birthday with lots of fun and some yummy cake! We started the day by surprising her with gifts and a new little furball friend of her very own. She has been wanting a hamster just like Brady for a while now so we decided she was ready. I took them to the pet store last week and very sneakily got the scoop on which cage, exercise ball and hamster she liked. Scott stopped on his way home from work on Friday and bought everything and for four days we hid that little cutie in our bedroom. We were too worried that the hamster would not be there if we left and came back a few days later. She talked about it for hours after we left and I knew we made the right decision to go ahead and get it. I was so excited to be able to give it to Kacey Tuesday morning. She got introduced and without hesitation, gave her the name Bella. We got phone calls from family and Kacey loved telling them all about what she had got. After all the excitement of the morning was over we had to see daddy off to work. We ran up to Round Rock Bakery and picked up her “Littlest Pet Shop” cake, brought it home then we left out for some good times at Extreme Fun. It is a really neat indoor playground that has inflatable bouncy houses, a 20 foot slide, and a huge foam pit that you can run and jump into. After we got good and worn out we headed home to get ready to go out to eat at Kacey’s favorite mexican restaurant here in Round Rock. After we got stuffed from all that good food, we came home and had cake. Kacey had a really fun day and had a hard time going to bed last night. She was so excited about having her new friend in her room and she kept coming out every few minutes to give us an update on what Bella was doing next. It was too funny! We still can’t believe our baby is 5…where does the time go?!
I managed to take a few photos yesterday but I still need to try and get a photo of Bella. She isn’t too fond of the camera right now.
