It has been an incredibly long, but fun day and I am exhausted! It is almost midnight as I am writing this blog entry but I wanted to go ahead and get a few photos posted. This morning we got the dogs dropped off around 8am at the pet resort then headed home, loaded the car, then hit the road. We stopped in San Antonio for a quick lunch then it was back on the road. It was a great drive, very little traffic and we made good time. We arrived at the hotel around 2pm and got settled in but it wasn’t long before the kids were going stir crazy! So we relaxed for a bit then headed out to La Playa mexican restaurant for some yummy tex-mex. We then headed to Bob Hall Pier on Padre Island. It was quite windy but we had sooooo much fun! It was a beautiful evening although there wasn’t much of a great sunset. We played in the waves, built sandcastles, took a walk down the shore and hunted for treasures. We didn’t find much but we did find a crab shell and a pretty little perfect shell which had a tenant living in it so we had to leave it behind. I am hoping the shell hunting is better tomorrow. We got back to the hotel around 9pm and promptly started the “de-sanding” process. After the kids were bathed and in bed, I took off to find the desperately needed coin laundry downstairs. Needless to say I had forgotten just how messy the beach can be! Sand everywhere! Well, it’s late and my eyes are heavy…here are a few photos from today. Enjoy!

You are never too old to play in the waves! Scott was having a blast in the water

I thought this was so sweet….Brady was holding Kacey up when the big waves would come in.

Bob Hall Pier at sunset. I have been waiting so long to get this shot.
