Loving Life

Today the kids and I took a little mini-adventure down to one of our local parks. After we had a picnic lunch we decided to stroll along the nature trail that meanders next to Brushy Creek. Brady loves to go exploring (just like me!) and Kacey loves to be pushed in her stroller. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect day, the weather is in the 70′s and its sunny and the park was alive with the sounds of kids playing. People were fishing, jogging and playing with their kids. At some point during our hike down the path, I realized how perfect my life is! How lucky am I to get to spend every day with my children and not have to rely on someone else to watch them take their first steps, fix their boo-boo’s, or teach them about the world we live in. I am especially thankful that I have such a wonderful husband who supports me and allows me to do what means the most, and that is being a stay-at-home mother. Sure, there are some days that I am tired or the kids are misbehaving and I think to myself “I’d give anything to have a quiet day to myself”. But those moments are short-lived when I realize that I have the honor of having the most important job on earth… devoting myself full-time to our children. With Brady starting school in the fall, I am starting to realize that the time goes by so fast and they grow up in a blink of an eye. Sometimes you wish you could just keep them little forever. I know one day they will be grown and have families of their own. I just hope that they carry with them all they have learned from me over the years. It has been a roller coaster ride along the way but one thing is for sure… I wouldn’t trade it for a thing! I love you Scott, Brady and Kacey, you are my world!
